A successful Open Day workshop in Cambridge for our UltraMAT collaborative project


UltraMAT Open Day, Cambridge

On 7th March 2019, partners of the UltraMAT project met in Cambridge Hughes Hall for an Open Day workshop aimed at bringing together experts, developers and end-users, to discuss how to speed-up commercialisation of advance materials in sectors such as Automotive and Aerospace.

At the sound of the gong, project partners where chanced to each present their capabilities and input in the UltraMAT project to a host of renowned national and global organisation representatives; the likes of BAE Systems, Bitrez Limited, Cranfield University, TWI, Brunel University London, GoodFellow, University of Cambridge, MBDA UK Ltd, MetisCube Limited, Rolls-Royce, Senergy Innovations, Talga Technologies Ltd, University of Surrey etc.

 

 

Following these discussions, the floor was then made open for questions and discussions on ways to expedite the commercialisation of advanced materials in a range of sectors.

 

This one-day event also served as a great platform for networking and sharing ideas with key industry players, with the workshop organisers closing the workshop with an announcement of a follow up event later this year, where partners will be opportune to exhibit what they have achieved so far in the UltraMAT project and more.
