R&D Manager (Technical Project Manager)

Experienced Innovation Consultants / Proposal Writers
We are expanding our team of creative and self-motivated Innovation Consultants. Our ideal new team members will have at least two years’ experience of writing collaborative proposals, specifically European Commission H2020 or Innovate UK funding applications related to a science, engineering or a technical discipline.
Junior Innovation Consultant – Technical Proposal Writer
Our ideal candidate will be creative and conscientious, with a proven ability to undertake collaborative funding proposal writing; preferably related to a science, engineering or technical discipline. You will receive training within our multidisciplinary team with a progression path to Innovation Consultant. It is envisaged that training will last for between 2-3 months.
Senior Experienced Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for self-motivated and experienced mechanical engineers with strong practical competencies to accelerate the impact of our work in new and challenging real-world application scenarios. You will be responsible for developing and/or researching mechanisms and mechanical components for robots and sub-systems with a focus on locomotion of mobile robots including climbing applications using different adhesion technologies (magnetic and vacuum suction). This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s premier established SMEs (set up in 2009) which is currently focusing on hazardous and now also evolving to new emerging service robot domains. You will be working in the R&D technical team specialising in detailed electronic, mechanical, software and systems design to meet emerging regulatory requirements especially for close human-robot collaboration applications.
Embedded Software Engineers (Robotics)
We are seeking Embedded Software Engineers with a strong passion for robotics. All the candidates should be qualified with a 1st class degree or a 2:1 degree in a relevant engineering discipline with experience of embedded software systems. The successful candidate will work as part of the Electronics team cooperating closely with the Software Development Team.
Junior Mechanical Engineers for Robotics
The applicant should have a strong passion for robotics. It is essential to be open to learn and develop new skills to design and implement diverse robotic platforms. They will be part of the Mechanical team working closely with the other Technical teams of our department.
Trainee Engineers – Career Opportunities – Robotics
This is a great time to join us as a Trainee Engineer
We work at a fast pace, with a team of 40 dynamic personnel of multiple nationalities; with a united enthusiasm to develop state-of-the-art robots and robotic systems. This is likely to grow to 50 employees soon. We are located amid beautiful English countryside, with the bonus of being 20 minutes away from Cambridge City, renowned for academia and innovation. The Research & Development department consists of four teams; Mechanical, Electronics, Modelling & Control and Software Development teams. All groups work together to develop world class robots that we want to use in our work, home or even wear.
Trainee Electronics Engineering (Robotics)
The candidate should have a passion to learn and develop new skills designing the electronics and the electrical systems needed for our advanced robotic platforms. They will be part of the Electronics team working closely with the other Technical Teams of our department.
Trainee Control & Software Engineering (Robotics)
The applicant should have considerable knowledge in classical control theory and a strong passion for robotics. It is essential to have passion to learn and develop new skills designing control strategies for the robotic systems being developed. They will be part of both teams, the Control and Modelling Team and the Software Development Team working closely with the other Technical Teams of our department.
